Feed the Hungry Children for Jesus in India

"For I was hungry and you gave Me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave Me something to drink, I was a stranger and you took Me in, I was naked and you clothed Me, I was sick and you looked after Me, I was in prison and you visited Me.’

Then the righteous will answer Him, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You something to drink?  When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You?  When did we see You sick or in prison and visit You?’

And the King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of Mine, you did for Me.’" (Matthew 25: 35 - 40)

The State of Hungry Children in India

Although food security and the economy in India are improving, the world’s largest democracy still has a lot to do to tackle its high malnutrition rates. Undernutrition in India is the result of widespread poverty, rapid population growth, pockets of weak governance, poor health systems, and unreliable national indicators. These issues are compounded by the social factors and inequities related to caste, ethnicity, religion, and gender

How We Are Helping In India

Pastor Joel and our teams in India focus on improving nutrition, food security, livelihoods, and access to water, sanitation, and hygiene. We provide children with therapeutic food and supplements to treat and prevent life-threatening hunger, and we are working to improve the ways malnutrition is diagnosed, treated, and prevented.
